A chaotic scene was captured by a ring camera at around 1 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, on the 1500 block of South Etting Street in Philadelphia’s Grays Ferry neighborhood.
The heart-wrenching video shows multiple individuals exchanging gunfire while others try to hide to avoid being hit.
Police later found dozens of shell casings at the scene. Three people, ages 19, 23, and 24, were confirmed dead while nine others, including two children, were injured.
Some of those injured were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Others were taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. One additional victim was treated at the University of Pennsylvania’s Hospital Pavilion Campus.

Although the cause of the shooting and its instigators remain under investigation, local police commissioner Kevin Bethel called the violent shootout “coward stuff” initiated by “wanna be thugs.”
